California Rental Agreement

California Rental Agreement Forms and Landlord Resources

Being a landlord in California is harder than most people realize; there is specific language that must be included in lease agreements, there are restrictions on everything from security deposit amounts to how quickly they must be returned, there are different eviction notices required to be sent depending on the type of tenant violation and the length of the lease term… in a word, it’s complicated.

Which is why California landlords and property managers could use some help, both from each other and from the pros. To help connect landlords and property managers with each other, we offer both a community forum and a directory of local real estate investing clubs. For the times they need tenant credit reports and criminal background checks, we offer them quickly and inexpensively. And while we do our best to provide do-it-yourself help with California rental forms and law tips, sometimes there is simply no substitute for a flesh-and-blood attorney – so we have a directory of landlord-tenant attorneys too. Nor does our virtual toolkit stop there; we offer links to local resources, and an entire library of educational articles, including a summary of California landlord-tenant laws, a New Landlord Guide and even up-to-the minute rental industry news.

Sure, life as a California landlord is not always simple, but there are plenty of resources, people and educational tools to help you tackle even the biggest tenant challenges. Browse through some of our local resources below, and if you have any questions, just click the Live Help button towards the upper right to speak with a living, breathing human being!

California Residential Lease Agreements

California Lease The list of benefits for our California rental agreement is pretty long, but here are just a few reasons we think you’ll be impressed: first, it was drafted by a team of attorneys and actual landlords, so it is both legally airtight and landlord-friendly. The text is of course California-specific, but that’s just the beginning: our CA Assist also informs you of every little restriction that California imposes, just when you need the information most while filling out your lease. It gives you the option to include a wide range of extra forms, to further protect you legally from tenant disputes. We could keep going, but you’d probably rather just create and view a CA lease for free and see for yourself how it works.
