This Tenancy Act provides guidelines for dealing with different rental situations in Manitoba; sets out the policies or rules of how the branch operates, and describes how things are done.

Who: For a Landlord or Tenant who may have questions regarding the law, in regard to security deposits, rent increases and fees for subletting. It's also for Landlords and Tenants who might need information on their rights and responsibilities, on mediation, hearings and how to prepare for both.

What: The Residential Tenancies Act is the set of regulations for residential tenancy.

When: Every Landlord and Tenant should become familiar with the Tenancies Act as soon as they enter an agreement to become a Landlord or Tenant.
