Landlord Question and Answer Forum
My roommate's lease states only transient guests and otherwise she needs landlord's (me) permission. We had a mediator and I thought we had this cleared up and I agreed not to complain about him being here on weekends every other week. Well, we had break and now we're back to Thursday-Monday morning EVERY week and ALL week if there's any type of holiday. At what point does this actually violate the lease in the state of IN?

RE: When does a 'transient'guest become a tenant?
BTW, her lease states that she has to pay an equal share of utilities. Can I hold her responsible for more than half since he's here so much?

It all depends on the Lease. If you have a clause in the lease that specifies additional charges for additional occupants, then yes you can.
