Forum / General Property Management / Water Bill and New Tenants

We are getting ready to rent my girlfriends townhouse out for the first time. What we just found out is the local water company will not transfer the bill to the tenants (as we thought we could do) and the water/sewer was not figured into the rent amount...any suggestions on how to handle this? Thx!

You could create a lease amendment and bill them for the water/sewer.
