Continuation... when carpet was ripped up asbestos tile was found. I didn't even know tile was under carpet, so therefore didn't know asbestos was there. They claim recovering is my obligation. I claim recovering is their obligation since they removed carpet w/out permission. They claim unsafe conditions. I claim unsafe conditions didn't exist prior to carpet removal, which they did without permission. Any knowledge or advice for this situation? I simply want the tile recovered to the rooms original moved-in condition. SCC is Oct. 16th.

I would seek the advice of an attorney on this situation. It is pretty complicated.
