Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I tried to have cable installed Tuesday, and it ended up being cancelled because someone had damaged the cable line in the basement, and my landlord is refusing to fix it, however the cable tech said that by law it has to be fixed.
I have tried on both ends, and nobody is cooperating with me, and I am getting very irrate, concidering I paid in advance for the install LAST WEEK. Who is responsible for the line, and who do I contact if this is not resolved?

RE: Cable line damaged
It depends on the Lease Agreement. A little tip - you would be surprised at how the cable company will repair it if you play hard-ball. Try telling them that if they do not assume responsibility and repair the cable, you will go to another company and they will lose a long term customer.
