Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Once a renter moves out, in Nevada are you required to re paint the interior? And my renter in Arizona's puppy damaged an area of carpet and the fix will be a couple hundred dollars. Is the renter responsible? Seems like an obvious answer here, but just want to be sure.

RE: Painting and carpet repair
The answer to your first question is you're not legally required to paint, but you obviously want to put the place in good condition to attract a good next tenant. As for pet damage to a carpet, yes you can withhold that from the tenant's security deposit.
