Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Tenant still complaining about rats and the dishwasher hose getting chewed up. Have been in there 3 times with baits and traps, sealed up any holes with steel wool and peppermint oil, then closed up permanenantly. Have been under the house 2 time now for bad smell and found nothing. Is it time to get a professional exterminator? this is a duplex unit, and only one side is having problems, or issues with rodents. We have yet to find any dead or dying animals, but they still are having a problem. Suggestions?

RE: RATS
What does your lease agreement say? I include a clause in my lease packages that makes the tenants responsible for pest control services. If your lease has you responsible, then it may be time to call an exterminator.
