Landlord Question and Answer Forum
What is the legal recourse for prospective tenants who are not citizens of the United States? And what type of information should I request for identification purposes. Any information you can give would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

RE: International Prospective Tenants
First, I hope these prospective tenants are not off of Craig's List. Be very cautious. Otherwise, if you already deal with a tenant screening company, you should be able to call their customer service and find out how you check out credit on someone from a another country.

RE: International Prospective Tenants
Yes, Craig's List. International Prospective Tenants is a phishing scam.

RE: Distribution of Decurity Deposit and charges to Tenant
Can a Landlord charge for repairs that he has done himself (not a professional), such as replacing a sink that was damaged by the tenant? Or is it better to have it done by a outside source?
