Landlord Question and Answer Forum
After thinking long and hard i have finally decided to rent my home but I a have some questions regarding the applicants history info. What type of questions am i allowed to ask previous landlords and employment or am I allowed to call at all. If someone could answer this for me or give me a website to look at I would greatly appreciate it. I am new at this so please be patient.

RE: What type of questions can I ask?
You first must obtain permission to ask for references. Usually this is done when an applicant signs a good application that has this included on the application. You may also have your applicant provide you with paystubs - paystubs do not lie!! Ask for rent receipts as well or copies of cancelled checks. Just some other ideas. Good luck!
