Are Property Management companies really worth it? I see more negative comments than positive in online reviews. The complaints all seen to have the same theme regardless of whether the complaint is from a tenant or home owner ; they never do what they claim they will do for you.

My opinion is this: If you have little time to manage your properties OR live far away from them, than a property manager can be beneficial. BUT if you have the time and if you do your homework and make sure you check out tenants thoroughly and have a good strong lease in place, it should not take tooo long.
