they owe 2 months of unpaid rent, they moved out breaking the lease agreement but they still owe money. how do I collect?

Summons to court , either small claims or housing court , whichever you prefer, but just because you take them to court you still have to get your money out of them and you might have to put a lean on there paycheck , small claims differ from state to state on amounts and once you do this there credit score drops

You can put a garnish against their wages where they work..

you have to go to court first and win judgement , then you have to go again when they do not pay you and set up with a judges judgement or the amount they will be able to pay you on the garnish of there paycheck. There is different forms to fill out from state to state. It can be time and pain stakeing.
