Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Does any one have experience using a property manager ? I want to use one and found one with good references. But he wants to sign lease directly with tanent vs. having me sign the lease. I am not sure if I should be concerned about this. My past experience has alawys been signing the lease directly between landlord and tanent.

RE: Use a property manager
A property manager can be a good way to manage your property if you do not have time or are not located near the rental unit. First, make sure that you follow rules of "Agency" in your state. Secondly, make sure that you are comfortable with the arrangement. If you feel more comfortable signing the lease, than do so. Use a property management agreement to define the relationship.

RE: Use a property manager
By all means let an expeience property manager handle everything. My husband and I regret that we did not keep our property manager. We live 3 hours away and have run into some propblems.
