Landlord Question and Answer Forum
A new tenant moved in. When she moved in, I asked if I could put a ring doorbell in front of her door. She said yes. Today I was supposed to put it in & she said no. If only she could see it, she would allow it. I later found out that her father who lives with her was convicted of selling drugs. My other tenant says she sees a lot of people going there so I’m worried. It’s my house. Legally can I put the ring doorbell there. I don’t want any problems.

RE: Ring doorbell
you didn't run a background check on dear old dad? All adults should sign the lease and have a background/credit check.

RE: Ring doorbell
Putting a Ring doorbell sounds a bit intrusive to their privacy. Instead, you need to do inspections and if her neighbors are seeing things they need to report it to you and/or police.
