Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I just recently bought my first rental house, it is a small 2 bedroom 1,052 sq ft home the problem is it does not have central ac or heating , it only has a window ac unit and a swamp cooler , i have a young couple who wants to move in right away and they said they are fine with the swamp cooler and that they will be fine with just some tip over ,over heat safety space heaters, my question is ,are space heaters a legal way of providing heat to the tenants in the state of NM since there is no other heat source ?

RE: Providing heat
Have an HVAC installed.
Here is a mini-split that might work for you.
