I called my renters to let them know in two weeks I wanted to come by and check on the house. They told me that they have to be there since they installed an alarm. Question -- are they obligated to tell me the code? Question -- what other issues should I be thinking about with them putting in the alarm? I assume (as in the lease) the house will be left the way it was when they rented. -- thanks!!

I include in my leasees that tenants must obtain permission and provide me with any alarm codes in case of emergency. I also make sure and specify that permission is needed BEFORE installing anything!
