Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Due to job loss my tenant wants to make payments on rent and says they will be caught up by next month. I told her I will not accept any partial payment until I know "The Law", about partial payments, have an agreement and have it in writing, and maybe noterized too. Tomorrow they will be 2 days late, and my late fee is $20.00 a day.

RE: partial payments
It seems to me that partial payment is better than no payment at all. It appears that they are trying to do what they can and not leave you with nothing at all. In todays economy with lots of people losing their jobs, it seems we should be willing to work with those that are truly trying to work with us.
