Hello Tenant was in property for 2 months on 12 month lease agreement, I used your florda agreement form want to know what is the amount I can hold them accoutable for.

If you placed a checkmark in the area of the lease that specifies " Landlord may make the remaining rent for the balance of the Lease term due and payable to the Landlord. ", then you can sue for the remaining months for which the leased premises remains unpaid. As a landlord though, you are rersponsible to mitigate damages. This means that you can not just let the property be vacant. You have to do everything within your power to re-rent the apartment in order to minimze the fiscal burden on the tenant. You may also deduct any costs for damage to the unit beyond normal wear and tear.
