Tenant who officially signed lease died. Her brother and mother were living with her down stairs in a two family house. They stated they were unable to pay rent and would move after the funeral. Rent not paid for month of August. I still have tenants upstairs. The problem is the unpaid rent and the infestation of bugs.What should I do?

Hire an exterminator. If the tenants are determined to be the cause, you may be able to recoup the fee. Ether way, you'll NEVER get good tenants to take a bug infested apt. If they don't pay, take it out of the deposit.
