Landlord Question and Answer Forum
We are helping my husband's aging grandfather with his rental properties. As he is unable to handle all of the work involved, we have been added to the lease agreements etc. as agents/managers. Can tenants go after us, as well, if they file a lawsuit against the property owner?

RE: Who can be included in a lawsuit against a rental owner?
As an agent/manager you do assume certain liabilities to the principals (owners) and the tenants. A tenant can technically bring a lawsuit against anyone. The best thing to do is make sure that you have all of your basis covered with proper insurance coverage and a good lease.
