Here's a good one , A tennant planted some rhododenrens about 4 years ago and they said they will be moving,and they will be taking them to there new place , they never asked me about planting them either. What do you think . ?

I would just tell them that they have to leave the landscaping looking presentable, or you'll take whatever money is necessary out of their security deposit to fill in holes left by them, etc.
