Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Does anyone know of a good (preferably free) Excel spreadsheet for tracking rent and expenses? I have made my own but would like something that helps with proper categories for filling out taxes. Some of the templates available are over-complicated for my fairly simple needs.

RE: Excel spreadsheet template
The best way is to make your own or stick with your own. I do all my own spreadsheets, you can also look up the coding to input so that you only have to add amounts and it will add everything up. Love excel!

RE: Excel spreadsheet template
Zillow makes a free one for up to five properties. I like it a lot.

RE: Excel spreadsheet template
If you are still looking, I have one that I created from a Google Sheets template. You can download it and save it as your own version. This link is read only.
