Landlord Question and Answer Forum
My husband and I will be renting our home with a 2 year lease. We would like to add a stipulation to the lease agreement that if we are transferred back to the area that the lease can be broken. It's doubtful we'll be transferred back to the area, but we want to have this in our lease in the rare case it could happen.
How should this be worded in the lease?

RE: No fault lease termination
Unfortunately you can't really have it both ways, locking them in without locking yourself in. If you want to reserve the option of ending the lease any time, sign a month to month lease.
