Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Hello all
I am curious to know if there are any landlords out there who own property in the city of Baltimore
If you do i would ask you how you recover unpaid water bills from your tenant - I am told that I need to go through civil court to recover this money as rent court no longer consider the unpaid water bill as rent
Can anyone offer any knowledge or she any light on this ?
Thanks

RE: Baltimore City Water Bills
Yes you would need to go to small claims or civil court, you would then be able to submit their info to a collections company to get the money. As far as I know this is the Only way to do this. In the mean time make sure the water is paid because some utility co. can put a lean on the house. Check with your local utility company to find out what they require.
