Forum / General Property Management / dogs only, no cats allowed
Pet friendly duplex. I will be allowing one small dog per duplex, but would prefer not to allow cats. Is there any problem by not allowing cats?

RE: dogs only, no cats allowed
Yes I allow max of two pets and they have to either proof they are trained or I have them bring the pets when they are filling in the application. Also I add a deposit so if any damage happens, I have a back up plan. I don't think there is any problem by not allowing cats though. They can cause more damage with their claws. By allowing cats i have seen the damage they cause on the tenants furniture and it made me nervous but it seemed they only caused damage on their furniture and not my unit. Good luck.
