Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Just got a message from tenants that the air conditioning went out. We are already making calls and arrangements to get it fixed, but what would be the proper etiquette for staying arrangements. Pay for hotel for a couple of days? or tell them would have to wait until we get it fixed?? temperature this weekend is going to be close to 90 with a humidity of 85%

RE: Heating and Air conditioning
I would not have them wait it out in dangerous heat, I would offer them a place to stay while you get it fixed or have them go to a hotel and you will deduct it from their rent. Put yourself in their shoes, I know I would not want to be paying for a place I am not comfortable in.

RE: Heating and Air conditioning
Good idea to have a window unit on hand just in case.
