Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I am planning to rent to a group home that provides care for disabled youth. the Tennant has a history of leasing home for this purpose of housing three clients in the home with one on one care throughout the day. is this best leased as a commercial agreement, or a residential agreement. any advice would be helpful.. I have already contacted the other homes, and spoken with the landlords, and they have a good record. im just looking for advice on the paperwork legal side.
thanks adam

RE: renting to group homes
I think with a group home you can actually do both. I would ask the tenant what type of lease they had before. If you do a Residential lease you can say that tenant can operate in home business which might work also. Good luck.
