Landlord Question and Answer Forum
We were notified that our tenants have terminated service with the propane company that we had in place and lease a tank from "we pay the tank rental" Tenant pays for propane. The tenant has already replaced the tank with another service provider. We were not notified, nor did we give permission for them to do so. In the lease, it does not address this issue. What are our rights?

RE: Propane Tank Issue
You can demand that they use the services that you had set up but if it is not written out in the lease then you may not have a whole lot of rights, however. Is there a difference or does it matter what provider the tenant chooses? Are they saving money is the company provider legitimate? Try to work together with the tenant and see what is going on and next lease lay out Your terms and what you need.
