My renters asked if they could buy the house at the end of their lease. If you think that your renters would be interested in buying the house it would be a good idea to let them know so that they can begin budgeting for it. A rent to own lease option is also a great alternative to help renters save for the down payment. You can increase the rent and keep the additional payment separate for them to use as the down payment. If none of these options work for you, it is a good idea to give them 30-60 days notice or whatever you lease dictates, so that they have time to look for another rental and you have time to prep the house for a sale.
