Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Long story short, I filled eviction for non payment, used my LLCs name as plaintif, forgot to show up to court, tenant won counter claim of 1k, judgement is now under my business name. From what I understand, this can be very bad for my brokerage standing with the real estate commission. Can this be changed to the landlords name instead of my brokerage? This is in Georgia.

RE: Tenant won judgement against me instead of the Landlord
You may want to contact an attorney right away, as a landlord I make it a priority to show for court no matter what. I wish I could help with the legal end of this but as far as I know if it is under the LLC then that is the entity that will have to take responsibility.
