In MA, what can I require the tenants to do in regards to snow removal? I thought I read on this site that I cannot 'require the tenant to remove snow from common porches, stairs and walks. Does that mean that every time it snows I have to worry about making sure I shovel there in addition to my own!!! It's a house..not an apartment. Can anyone clarify please?

RE: Snow removal
Deanna ' Ihave 3 apartments and if a person wants to shovel and he gets hurt and say he is working for you then really you would be his employer and you mwould have to cover his expenses You do not have workmans comp so I personally would hire a responsible person for this and make sure you have Liability insurance.
