I own a house that I am renting out. How do I pull a credit report for perspective tenants? I am concerned if I have the right to do that. I claim the income from the house on my income tax. Is there anything else that I need to do to qualify for pulling peoples credit reports?

Have applicant(s) sign a release form allowing you to check employment, credit, etc. You can find several Credit Agencies on line that you can pull credit reports from. Check their requirements. Here's one site http://www.youcheckcredit.com/blog/ . -----Disclaimer: Since I’ve been answering a lot of questions, I thought I would make the following statement. I’m not affiliated with EZlandlord Forms. I’m just here (not sure how long) to help those that have questions. Having 40+ yrs with Rental Property and done well, it’s my way of “Pay it Forward (check out the movie).” However, it is up to you to become familiar with your State/Local laws. I always like to know if the suggestions I offer are helpful. Feel free to comment anytime. Thanks in Advance. BTW...check out the Rental Property Organizer at Simp-List.com. Free Trial Download.

I also had the same issue, but property management agents at Hunter Rentals & Property Management really helped me to find the best tenant. They screened the tenant before rented out an apartment. For more information, you can visit their website.
