Landlord Question and Answer Forum
What credit score do you look for your Tenant Screening?
If the work history is only 3 months, and the income is border do you still rent it out?
Do you check and income/rent ratio to rent it out?

RE: Credit Score requirement
Given today’s economy, you may have a hard time finding tenants with good scores. Rental property is a business and should be treated accordingly. Sometimes landlords have to make decisions that they normally would not. Look at their past history and compare it to the length of employment. Over the years, did they work in the same field? Make calls to past landlords. Gut feeling sometimes helps in the decision. After all that, even under the best of conditions, selecting a tenant is a crap shoot. Does this help? ----- Disclaimer: Since I’ve been answering a lot of questions, I thought I would make the following statement. I’m not affiliated with this EZlandlord Forms. I’m just here (not sure how long) to help those that have questions. Having 40+ yrs with Rental Property and done well, it’s my way of “Pay it Forward (check out the movie).” However, it is up to you to become familiar with your State/Local laws. I always like to know if the suggestions I offer are helpful. Feel free to comment anytime. Thanks in Advance.
