Husband & Wife Background Check

We are considering leasing to a very nice couple of newlyweds. The concern is that he has a good job that is more than capable of paying for rent, but she has poor credit and no job. Can I rent to him only? If so, can I evict him only, if he doesn't pay for rent and expect that she'd have to move as part of the eiviction?
