Landlord Question and Answer Forum
We are in the process of reviewing tenant applications. What questions are now legal to ask current employers, landlords, credit firms, etc. in making our decsion?
We did use the tenant screening process through EZ Landlord and that came back good.

RE: What questions can you legally ask?
If it's the least bit sensitive, don't ask about it (race, familial status, etc). If you're going to deny someone, find a legitimate reason to do, such as bad credit, insufficient income, criminal history, eviction history, etc. There's an article floating around this site somewhere, about the Fair Housing Act, I'll see if I can find it.
