Forum / Tenant Screening/Advertising / Lease/deposit on screening vs. on lease

I haven not 100% decided on a lease term nor deposit amount for a renter (I am a first time landlord). In order to have the criminal and credit check run, can I put in my best guess as to what each will be, and have a different amount on the actual lease?

It is best to know the exact amount, this will allow the tenant to know whether they can afford to rent your property.
