Hi, I am a new landlord and am screening a potential tenant. My tenant has already done a credit report, but I would still like to do a criminal background check. Has anyone done this? The company that EZ Landlord Forms uses, only does them together. Thanks for any assistance.

Unless I pull the tenants credit myself I do not trust the tenant, I have actually been burned by one. Often tenants think that this pulling these kind of checks hurt their credit. This is false, these are soft pulls when done through landlord tenant credit check companies. These type of tenant screening do not hurt and it is always good to get the most current information. Plus paying for a criminal check would almost be as much money as this company charges.
