Landlord Question and Answer Forum
My apartment will be up for leasing 8 months from today. There are three tenants interested in leasing it and I am currently going through their applications/ If accepted, would it be legal to request a non-refundable holding fee? If so, how much should it be for? If tenants do lease the apartment, this amount could count towards the deposit.

RE: Leasing agreement
Agreed you can request a holding fee that would go toward the rent if it is non-refundable but if t goes toward the security that is refundable at the end of the lease. I do no believe that there are regulations on the amount that you can charge for this fee.
