Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Hi all! In North Carolina, is the lease section on the binding of heirs and assigns (which reads "All provisions, terms, and conditions of this lease Agreement shall be binding to Tenant, Landlord, their Heirs, Assignees, and Legal Successors") required? I have a prospective tenant who doesn't like that section...not sure what to tell her. Please let me know - thanks!

RE: NC - Binding of Heirs and Assigns required?
Cross it out with a pen and have both parties initial and date it.
