Landlord Question and Answer Forum
We rented a home in July of 2011, received Foreclosure papers via sheriff last week. We are so upset and do not know what to do, we have called for legal advice, no one returns our calls. We have been told to put our rent money in an escrow account and not pay the landlord anything, this by the attorney for the Bank...I am a single parent with 2 children and I want to do this right but I do not wanna get screwed. by the way the papers said this has been going on since 2009...why would they rent us the house and not pay the mortgage? What can I do to protect myself and my children?
