Forum / State Landlord Tenant Law / Non Renewal Lease Tenant Holdover
My Oregon tenants Lease expired yesterday. I delivered to him on 4/27/20 a letter of non renewal of his lease. He requested an additional 2 weeks to arrange for a new residence. I have prepared a document for his signature indicating he will be vacating the premise on 6/15/2020. additionally that I will use part of his deposit to pay for the additional 2 weeks, and set a payment schedule dividing his rent arrearage over a period of 6 months, to be paid monthly starting July 1. He did not show to sign the document yesterday, if he chooses not to sign, I am thinking at this time he is a holdover tenant of the lease. suggestions on how I should proceed.
