We have purchased a triplex set to close escrow in a few weeks. Each unit is on a month to month lease. Do we have to give any sort of notice of rent increase or can we just issue new month to month lease agreements with the price of new rent? Can we also ask for a higher security deposit at that time? We are going to mail a new landlord introduction letter and a tenant update information sheet to be sent back before new leases are signed. We are in CA.
