My previous tenants have moved out at the end of their lease. In the lease it stated that the tenants were responsible to maintain the lawn and landscaping by cutting grass, removing weeds, and pruning trees. It was also in the lease that the tenants were responsible for paying the water bill. Can I withhold money, from the security deposit, for trees, bushes and grass that died, do to lack of watering, over the last three years of their lease?
