Landlord Question and Answer Forum
I recently had a client become disabled she had two strokes her family wants the landlord to install handi cap railing in the bathroom and extra rails on both side of stairs. Owner wants to know if he is required to pay for it or if he can allow tenant to do it at their expense. This is in the state of Alaska and it is a two family duplex.

RE: Tenant became disabled wants railing put up in bathroom
This would be tenant responsibility. I am overly nice with my tenants, so i would have probably had it installed and made them pay for half of the installation.
