I want to remodel house, can I give tenant a 30 day notice or 60 day notice and is it legal to evict tenant for this reason.

If there is a fixed term lease you cannot break the lease unless you and the tenant agree on a mutual termination. If it is a repair for something that is making the rental unlivable you may release them from the lease.
