Landlord Question and Answer Forum
In Arizona it is legal to have medical marijuana. I had a tenant vacate a property without paying rent for the last 30 days. When i secured the property I found evidence of marijuana use, which had been stated as a lease violation. My tenant had not notified me that they had a medical marijuana card until I stated it on the move out report. how does the medical marijuana law effect tenant landlord notification?

RE: Medical marijuana laws and tenants
Did you initially set a No Smoking rule in the contract? If they violated that( no matter what they were smoking) you may be able to hold them accountable. Legal Matters I would contact an attorney for that. Always make sure your contract has a no smoking policy.
