Forum / Move-Out & Eviction / I am a tenant need to kick out my sub-tenant
I am a tenant and have a lease signed with the apt building I live in, I have a room mate that moved into one of my rooms in February, I had her sign a room mate agreement, in which she is in violation to. She advised she would be leaving by October 1st, to which I responded that I would return the security deposit then, and yesterday I received a message from her stating she can not pay the rent this month. WE have already argued, and Im getting a little bit irritated with her attitude, can I kick her out with out having any issues later legally? anyone know?? thanks

If she is in violation with the lease and i think law will favor you. You can consult a eviction attorney that of course would not cost you more than your mental peace. All the best.
