Landlord Question and Answer Forum
Our tenants paid for the month of August, and now they inform us today that they are moving tomorrow. So they only stayed 2.5 weeks, do I have to return their deposit because they did not give me a 30 day notice?. They did sign our lease month to month in the state of Virginia.
I didn't see it on the forms for the state of Virginia anywhere that lets the landlord keep the security deposit if a 30 day notice was not given it just says that after the tenants move and we inspect the premises and then we have 14 days to send them the security deposit back.
Please respond back to my email; jpatte23@csc.com and if possible call me at: 703-318-2608 M-F est...
Thanks
Jeff Patterson
