If a couple who are not married sign the lease, which one is entitled to the deposit refund if one left before the lease was up and the other stayed but now has also moved out?

gosh, thats hard. it's not really meant to be your job to negotiate who gets what with that type of situation. I would return the funds to whomever originally wrote the security deposit check, who you have the last known address for.
