Landlord Question and Answer Forum
If I send a notice of non-renewal cetified mail with a Florida requirement of 15 day notice and my tenants refuse it or dont pick it up, how does that affect my ability to start an eviction? Am I even required to send it with a signature request in order to start the eviction? I'm going to anyway, just so I have all my ducks in a row. Any help is helpful. thanks

RE: mailing notices questions
I would send the notice by mailing regular first class mail in addition to certified, return receipt requested PLUS personal delivery if possible, keeping records of each time and date of delivery.

RE: mailing notices questions
thank you, I sent it priority with confirmation of delivery. That way they didn't have to sign for it.
